This site is for anyone interested in learning about me and my work. It is a personal site, portfolio, and a mirror for my leaflet blog, to be a single hub to read what I write, browse projects, and see how the site itself is made.

Technical and design choices

Astro is easy to use and intuitive, and its build-first model suits a site that is mostly content. The terminal interface gives the portfolio a visual language I enjoy maintaining with a file tree for navigation, command-like labels, and panels when information needs more structure.

Tailwind CSS keeps visual rules close to the components that use them. The layout also uses ordinary responsive CSS where that makes the behavior clearer, so content reflows instead of treating a phone like a small desktop terminal.

Writing

I prefer plain, specific prose over promotional language. Blog posts are written in Leaflet and stored as site.standard.document records on the AT Protocol. The site fetches and renders them at build time.

Visual conventions

Color, type, spacing, panels, and focus styles are shared across the site. The terminal “metaphor” shapes the navigation and labels, while content gets the space and line length it needs to remain readable. Small-screen layouts reflow instead of requiring horizontal scrolling.
